AI narration and guided play

A natural voice for a structured RPG

Choose your approach in plain language and tailor the narration. Presentation changes how the world is described, never its truth.

Crew coordinate an operation inside the Carrier command room.

What this means for your play

Choices with practical meaning.

AI communicates the game's results through narration, dialogue, context and guidance. You can tailor the presentation without letting the narrator change rules, resources, mission outcomes or the history of your character.

Understand the situation before choosing

Read where you are and what your character can know. Choose a suggested approach or describe your own action naturally. The game resolves it against skills, equipment, injuries, risk and world state, records the outcome and gives the narrator committed results to present.

Choose the voice that helps you play

Balanced, Direct, Cinematic, Gritty, Technical, Noir, Immersive and Military styles offer different presentation. Choose Brief, Standard or Rich detail; Concise, Natural or Expressive dialogue; and Tactical, Balanced or Cinematic combat narration. None of these settings changes what happened.

In depth

How it works.

Follow the part that interests you. These systems continue to matter as your character and operation grow.

AI is the voice, not the rules engine.

CYBERTECH's AI narration is designed to make a highly structured game feel natural to experience.

  • The narrator can describe.
  • Explain.
  • Present dialogue.
  • Give atmospheric context.
  • Help communicate committed game events.
  • Maintain continuity in presentation.
  • But presentation settings never change game truth.

Players can choose different narration styles and levels of detail without changing what actually happened. The system underneath remains authoritative.

Narration Choices

  • Players can tailor how CYBERTECH presents the world.
  • Narration styles include:
  • Balanced.
  • Direct.
  • Cinematic.
  • Gritty.
  • Technical.
  • Noir.
  • Immersive.
  • Military.

Detail can range from Brief to Standard to Rich.

  • Dialogue can be Concise, Natural or Expressive.
  • Combat narration can be Tactical, Balanced or Cinematic.
  • These change presentation.
  • They never change game truth.

AI should make the RPG easier to experience, not easier to fake.

  • CYBERTECH uses AI where AI is powerful:
  • Natural narration.
  • Dialogue.
  • Presentation.
  • Context.
  • Atmosphere.
  • Guidance.
  • It does not ask AI to replace:
  • The rules.
  • The economy.
  • The resource system.
  • NPC state.
  • Settlement state.
  • Mission resolution.
  • Cybernetics.
  • Engineering.
  • Qualifications.
  • World history.
  • The game exists independently.
  • AI makes that game feel alive.

Everything connects.

CYBERTECH's depth does not come from having a long list of unrelated features.

  • Its systems interact.
  • Cybernetics interact with gems and shards.
  • Those interact with specialist capability and facilities.
  • Facilities interact with Carrier progression.
  • Carrier progression interacts with engineering and resources.
  • Resources interact with economy and scarcity.
  • Economy interacts with organisations and finance.
  • Travel interacts with fuel, vehicles and location.
  • Location interacts with specialists, settlements and supply.
  • Qualifications affect what work can be performed.
  • NPC knowledge affects interaction.

Mission failures affect resources, standing, time and future capability. World time affects maintenance and deadlines. All of those states continue to exist when the narrator stops talking. That interconnectedness is the core of CYBERTECH.

An RPG built as an ecosystem of systems.

CYBERTECH is not one mechanic repeated for 100 missions. It is a network of specialised systems capable of creating problems, solutions and consequences across a long-running campaign.

  • A resource shortage can become a logistics problem.
  • A logistics problem can become a financial problem.
  • A financial problem can require paid work.
  • The extra time can create a maintenance problem.
  • The maintenance problem can change mission readiness.
  • A failed qualification can require a specialist.
  • A specialist may require travel.
  • Travel requires fuel.
  • Fuel may itself be scarce.
  • That is how CYBERTECH creates depth.
  • Not through longer paragraphs.
  • Through systems affecting systems.

A concrete example

A different description, the same result

A mission fails and consumes resources. You switch from brief direct narration to a richer cinematic style. The description becomes more atmospheric, but the mission remains failed and the resources remain spent. AI makes the committed game easier to experience, not easier to rewrite.
